The Southern Methodist University community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of student Vincent Manuel Reyes, who was found dead this weekend in an incident authorities are investigating as an apparent suicide.

According to the SMU Police Department, officers responded to Dyer Court after receiving reports of an unresponsive male. When emergency responders arrived, they located Reyes deceased at the scene.

Vincent Reyes was identified as a student at the SMU Cox School of Business and a member of Sigma Nu. News of his passing has sent shockwaves through the university community, where classmates, friends, fraternity brothers, and faculty members are grieving the sudden loss.

Authorities have not officially released a cause of death, though law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the incident as an apparent suicide.
