Lyla Jeanette Obituary,-Queen City Athletics Mourns athlete Lyla Jeanette who Passed away

It is with profound sorrow that Queen City Athletics announces the passing of  Lyla Jeanette. After fighting with immense bravery at the Masonic Children’s Hospital following a serious medical incident, Lyla passed away this evening. Her departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our tight-knit community of long-time athletes.

Lyla was more than an athlete; she was the embodiment of the spirit we strive for at Queen City Athletics. Her dedication in the pool, on the track, or on the field was matched only by her unwavering kindness and the bright smile she brought to every practice and competition. She was a teammate who lifted others up, a competitor who led with grace, and a young woman whose passion inspired everyone around her. For years, she was a familiar and beloved presence, her commitment weaving her into the very fabric of our organization.

The news of her medical incident yesterday sent waves of concern and support throughout our community. We rallied, holding onto hope as she battled in the hospital. This evening, that hope transformed into heartbreak. To lose such a vibrant life so suddenly is a tragedy beyond words.

In this moment of grief, we extend our deepest condolences to Lyla’s family, friends, and all who loved her. We also wrap our arms around our fellow athletes and coaches who are grappling with this devastating loss. The bonds forged through shared struggle and triumph at Queen City Athletics are strong, and it is together that we will begin to navigate this pain.

Lyla Jeanette’s legacy will not be forgotten. We will remember her strength, her joy, and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. As we mourn, we also pledge to honor her memory by supporting one another with the same compassion and resilience she showed every day. Rest in peace, Lyla. You will be forever missed.
