Annie Noblin Obituary, Car Accident Death, West Plains Public Library Mourns Loss Annie Noblin

The staff and Board of Trustees of the West Plains Public Library are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Annie England Noblin—a noted local author, a dedicated library trustee, and a cherished friend to our entire community.

Annie was more than a name; she was a vibrant presence. A resident of the Missouri Ozarks with her husband, son, and three dogs, she wove the spirit of our region into her work. As a graduate of Missouri State University’s creative writing program and an English and communications instructor at Arkansas State University, she was a lifelong champion of the written word. This passion translated seamlessly into her service for our library, where she became a passionate advocate for literacy, the arts, and the many causes she held dear.

Her dedication was a gift to us all. Annie was a devoted patron and a generous trustee who shared her time, talents, and unwavering encouragement freely. Her kindness and warmth touched countless lives, leaving a permanent and positive imprint on our library’s mission and the fabric of West Plains. She supported readers, inspired budding writers, and strengthened our community’s cultural heartbeat.

Annie leaves behind her loving husband, son, parents, brother, and a wide circle of friends who loved her like family. During this difficult time, we ask our community to hold them in your thoughts and prayers.

While her physical presence, profound compassion, and love for storytelling will be profoundly missed, Annie’s legacy is one of enduring inspiration. It lives on in every bookshelf explored, every story shared, and every life she touched.

To honor a remarkable life, a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Historic Post Office, 204 Main Street, West Plains. All are welcome to gather and remember the light she brought to our world.
